The Artha Platform is a 'country window' network dedicated to building relationships between the investor community, social entrepreneurs and capacity building intermediaries working on or in India. It is an independent initiative supported by Rianta Capital Ltd., an investment advisory to a family trust based in Mayfair, London.

How the Artha platform works

Artha offers a closed, secure space for all stakeholders keen on supporting the work of small and growing enterprises in India. It grows by invitation only, and there is no fee to join. The Artha Platform does however follow its own example and charges small fees to contribute to its own costs of operation. All revenues that may be generated by Artha are designated for re-investment into the deal pipeline comprised of impact driven enterprises in India. These percentage fees are taken as follows on transactions that close on the platform:

  • For due diligence contracts closed between investors and 3rd party service providers on the platform for deals from the Artha deal pipeline, a 2% fee is charged to investors based on total sum of contract. The fee is waived only in the event that the deal on the pipeline has been introduced by the investor leading due diligence.
  • For investment transactions that close as a result of due diligence completed on the platform, a 2% fee is charged. The fee is waived only in the event that the deal on the pipeline has been introduced by the said investor.

Please see Terms and Conditions for further detail. Should an investor choose to conduct due diligence in-house or with a party external to the platform, no fees are charged. You must be connected to a stakeholder organization in each of the following core activity groups to have access.

  • Investors within this country window can find deals across sectors and better coordinate on due diligence;
  • Entrepreneurs can make sure that their enterprises are given exposure to the most active, serious investor base; and
  • Intermediaries specializing in due diligence, business development and capacity building can bid on projects as they become available and build their businesses.
