FAQ
Registration
Q: How do I register?
A: Artha is an 'invite-only' community. If you are an
investor, an entrepreneur support organization, or a third party service provider
in India capable of conducting due diligence, there is no 'registration' button
to be part of Artha. You must be invited by a site administrator. If you are an
entrepreneur/promoter running a social business, you may complete a pre-registration
form on the home page, and you will be contacted if your enterprise is elected to
sit on the 'pipeline' of opportunities within Artha. If you want to join, please
contact us.
Q: I have an invitation email, what next?
A: Your registration email contains the unique link
you need to register. Click on the link and you will be taken to the registration
page. Each registration page is generated uniquely for each User. Don't send it
on as it won't work for anyone else.
Q: I think I have been sent an invitation, but I do not have it in my inbox.
A: It's possible that your invitation has been caught
in your junk mail, or you may have missed it. Do a search for an email titled "Exclusive
Artha Platform invitation". If you don't have it please contact us.
Q: Someone sent me the registration link, but it doesn't work.
A: If you have received an invitation link from anyone
other than the site administrator, it will not work. Each link is unique and only
the correct invitation can be issued by the administrator. Please contact us to
get your own link.
Q: I'm clicking on the link, but it doesn't take me to the registration page.
A: Some email clients, such as Outlook or Thunderbird
do not correctly make the whole link a hyperlink. In this case, please copy and
past the entire link into your browser address bar and hit return.

the top of your profile. Then, below your profile image, click 'Browse' and navigate
to your file. We accept a range of image file types.

and click 'Submit Form' once done.
Q: How can I change my password?
A: Once a user is logged in to their account, click
on "Edit my Profile", and then click on the orange button that reads "Change my
Password".

A: You can add a new contact by clicking on "Network"
and visiting the profile of various user types; click on the 'Connect' link in green
under the 'Connect' column on the list, or next to a user's name in the "Contact

your profiles are linked. Once this is complete, you may see your new contact by
clicking on your 'contacts' tab on your profile. If you have a contact request,
you will receive an email and must click 'accept' in your updates tab.

A: From your dashboard that is visible when you log
in, click on "FIND ENTERPRISES".
Q: I can't find the 'add contact' button?
A: Some users do not have privileges to add some others
users as a contact. In particular, access to investors is restricted. If this is
the case, please wait until they add you as a contact, or you may contact Artha
admin at info@arthaplatform.org.
Q: How can I send messages?
A: Artha has a built-in message center allowing you
to keep all of your correspondence in one place within the system. Once you are
a contact with a user, you can navigate to your message centre from your dashboard
and compose messages. You can select any of your contacts to send a message to.
Q: Who can see my profile?
A: If you are an investor, only other investors can
connect with you, although your top level general profile is visible to other investors
within the Artha community. If you are an entrepreneur support organization or 3rd
party service provider aiming to offer due diligence and capacity building services
to the Artha community, your profile is open to all registrants of the Artha platform.
If you are an entrepreneur/project promoter, all other user types including investors
can see your limited project profile (until a Non Disclosure Agreement ("NDA") is
signed), but other 'competing' entrepreneurs and Artha Platform investees cannot.
Q: What about IP protection and Non Disclosure Agreements?
A: Every enterprise (and its IP) listed on the Artha
Platform pipeline is protected by an automatically generated standard Non-Disclosure
Agreement (NDA). This pops up as soon as an investor clicks on a social business
profile to see more information about the business; while some cursory information
(including Company Name, Location, Sector, Source, Funding Requirement, Due Diligence
Status, and Lead Investor) is available in the table on the Pipeline, all further
posted business information (including the more detailed profile and all associated
documents regardless of file type) is protected. Users have the options to "agree
and sign" the digital NDA, to not sign but contact the promoter, or reject the offer
to protect all information related to what they are about to view. It is the duty
of all Entrepreneurs to verify and agree upon the sufficiency of the automated NDA
for the purposes of exposing their profile to the Artha community, and it is not
the role or responsibility of AP Ltd. to be party to this or related discussions.
Uploading content
Q: How do I upload documents, videos and images?
A: Once logged in, click the Documents tab on your Dashboard.
Then, select 'Upload Document' alongside the title for each of the media containers
and enter in the information requested.
Q: Who can see the documents I upload?
A: Once uploaded, users may determine whether they would
like to "Make Public" or "Make Private" a given document, as well as select the
entity/individual with whom they would like to share it. The document will accordingly
be made visible for access/download on the appropriate profile or project page.
Q: How long does it take to upload?
A: Uploading content depends on many factors such as
the file type and size, your location and your internet connection. As a general
rule, please allow 1-5 minutes per MB, sometimes more if you have a slow internet
connection.
Q: What file type can I upload?
A: We accept many types of files. Some of the video
files we accept are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv, .flv. Image files are .jpg, .gif, .bmp.
Document files accepted are .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt as well as .docx, .xlsx and .pptx.
Q: Are there any restrictions regarding the content of the uploaded files?
A: Yes. The content of the uploaded files must only
contain information relevant for the due diligence process. For further information,
please see the "Content" and "Warrants" sections of Terms & Conditions.
Q: My video doesn't play.
A: Once you have uploaded a video, it may take a few
minutes for the video to finalise. We need to transcode it to a format usable on
the internet so please be patient. If it is still not working after 5 minutes, your
upload may have had an error, such as a small loss of connection during upload.
