Artha is an invite only community. There is no 'registration' button and to be part of Artha, you must be invited by a site administrator. If you want to join, please contact us.
Your registration email contains the unique link you need to register. Click on the link and you will be taken to the registration page. Each registration page is generated uniquely for each user. Don't send it on as it won't work for anyone else.
It's possible that your invitation has been caught in your junk mail, or you may have missed it. Do a search for an email titled "Exclusive Artha Platform invitation". If you don't have it please contact us.
If you have received an invitation link from anyone other than the site administrator, it will not work. Each link is unique and only the correct invitation can be issued by the administrator. Please contact us to get your own link.
Some email clients, such as Outlook or Thunderbird do not correctly make the whole link a hyperlink. In this case, please copy and past the entire link into your browser address bar and hit return.
If you're not able to login, please check each of these items.
1. Are you using the same details as you registered with?
2. You can use your email address or username in the email box.
3. Passwords are case sensitive so make sure you're typing it correctly.
4. If you still have no success, please see the answers below.
If you've forgotten your password, you can click here, enter your email address and we'll send you a new password.
Your email address will be the one your invitation email was sent to, you did not enter it at registration. If you have forgotten it, you may use your username or contact us for help.
Once logged in, click the 'edit profile' link on the grey bar at the top of your profile. Then, below your profile image, click 'choose file' and navigate to your file. We accept a range of image file types including jpeg, bmp, gif. Once you have selected your file, click okay and wait for it to upload.
Once logged in, click the 'edit profile' link on the grey bar at the top of your profile. You can then change any of the information and click 'save' once done.
Once logged in, click the 'edit profile' link on the grey bar at the top of your profile. Scroll down to the two new password entry boxes and enter your password twice. Then click save. Your password will be changed with immediate effect if you see a popup box informing you that your profile details have been changed. Password security is important. It is recommended that you use a password that contains, at minimum, 8 characters comprised of upper and lower case letters and at least one number.
You can add a new contact by visiting their profile, and clicking on the 'add contact' link by their profile image. The user will then need to accept you as their contact before your profiles are linked. Once this is complete, you can see you new contact by clicking on you 'contacts' tab on your profile. If you have a contact request, you will receive an email and must click 'accept' in your updates tab.
Some users do not have privileges to add some others users as a contact. In particular, access to investors is restricted. If this is the case, please wait until they add you as a contact.
Artha has a built in message tool allowing you to keep all of your conversations in one place. Once you are a contact with a user, you can navigate to your message centre from your profile and compose messages. You can select any of your contacts to send a message to.
If you are an investor, only other investors can connect with you, although your general profile is visible to those within the Artha community. If you are an entrepreneur broker or 3rd party service provider aiming to offer due diligence and capacity building services to the platform community, your profile is open to all registrants of the Artha platform. If you are an entrepreneur/project promoter, all other user types including investors can see your project profile, but other 'competing' entrepreneurs and Artha Platform investees cannot.
Only investors may ever be charged for any service they procure on the Artha Platform. There are no other fees for any other type of user embedded in the system, and no fees or transactions are automated online. Investors may incur a fee if they decide to conclude a contract for due diligence with a 3rd party service provider on the Artha Platform, on a deal that clearly originates from a source other than themselves. Similarly, any investment transaction that is concluded on the Artha Platform as a result of being originated and/or diligenced through the Artha network will be subject to a small fee for the investor in question. Invoices will be sent to emails offline, and will be payable within 30 days. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.
Any fees charged to peer investors by the Artha Platform support the operating costs of the Platform, and all funds in excess of those costs are allocated for re-investment into the Artha impact investment portfolios comprised of the deal flow presented on the community pipeline. The Artha Platform is purely an information sharing portal that facilitates the key relationships and transactions necessary to move capital to where it counts most; profits, if any exist, are re-invested at 100%.
Once logged in, click the posted items tab at the top of your profile. Then, select 'Upload new' alongside the title for each of the media containers and enter in the information that is requested.
Uploading content depends on many factors such as the file type and size, your ยด location and your internet connection. As a general rule, please allow 1-5 minutes per MB, sometimes more if you have a slow internet connection.
We accept many types of files. Just some of the video files we accept are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv, .flv. Image files are .jpg, .gif, .bmp. Document files accepted are .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt as well as .docx, .xlsx and .pptx.
Once you have uploaded a video, it may take a few minutes for the video to finalise. We need to transcode it to a format usable on the internet so please be patient. If it is still not working after 5 minutes, your upload may have had an error, such as a small loss of connection during upload. Please try again or contact us.
